LEGACY PROJECT

GLOBAL MISSIONS, LOCAL CHURCH EXPANSION

& FUTURE CHRISTIAN LEADERS

THE LEGACY PROJECT was formed to encompass our desire to reach people globally, to reach people locally, and to set up future Christian leaders to continue to fulfill the great commission.

SO THAT ALL MAY HEAR

Think about the 42% of the world who don’t even have access to the knowledge of who Jesus is. Over three billion people, who aren’t even aware that the true hope, love, peace, and eternal life found in Jesus is even available.

We were commissioned by Jesus—to go everywhere and tell everyone about the Good News of the grace of Jesus! We want to leave a legacy that speaks to the amazing grace of God both locally and globally for future generations. We want to send out our own missionaries, go on short-term Global Teams and invest in local organizations to change the world with the love of Jesus!

OUR GLOBAL PARTNERS

HEALING HAITI

HAITI

Healing Haiti delivers 2.8 million gallons of fresh water each year—one bucket at a time. They’ve built a school that has provided an education to more than 400 children and planted Grace Church in Titanyen and Hope Church in Cite Soleil—two of the most impoverished areas of Haiti. They are also creating businesses—such as a bakery and a pizza restaurant that will provide jobs to help Haitians support and unify their families. With a 70% unemployment rate, many mothers and fathers find making a commitment to a family structure challenging. Healing Haiti is helping to break the cycle of parents abandoning their children, or giving them to orphanages or into child slavery. Westbridge Church is excited to partner with Healing Haiti!

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC TRIP

February 12-19th 2024

RAMAS VIVAS

DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

We are partnering with Ramas Vivas (Living Branches) in the Dominican Republic. This ministry was started by Kristin Wolford in 2011. Kristin was a Math Teacher in STMA. God was calling her to empower Dominican leaders to get involved in missions.  They created a team who regularly love and serve their neighbors through children's education programs, home construction/repairs for elderly and single mothers, and responding to other practical needs of the community. In July 2021, they launched Agua Ramas Vivas, a water treatment facility that provides clean water to the community.  The goal of the water facility is to fund the expansion of the Ramas Vivas children's programs throughout the surrounding communities.  On this trip, we will have the opportunity to come alongside Kristin and serve within several of her ministries. We are excited to partner with someone from our community who is making a difference in so many lives.

LIVE DEAD SILK ROAD

ISTANBUL, TURKEY

Live Dead is a grassroots initiative that partners with the global body of Christ to plant churches among unreached people groups through teams. Live Dead is committed to taking the church where it does not exist! They are committed to making a difference in the statistic that 40% of the world lives without access to the message of Jesus.

In the areas around the world that Live Dead is located, there are over 4,600 unreached people groups and 2.99 billion people who do not have access to the transforming love of Jesus. We are thrilled to be able to partner with Live Dead Silk Road in Istanbul!

CHANGE30

KALININGRAD, RUSSIA

The average life expectancy of a Russian orphan is only 30 years of age. Change30 is working to change that number! While many have lost parents to death, over 90% of Russian orphans still have at least one living parent but have been orphaned because of alcohol abuse, financial distress, or other social factors. The mission of Change30 is to inspire purpose in Russian orphans by providing them with the love, guidance, and critical resources they need to lead fulfilling lives and develop a personal relationship with Jesus!

Change30 is helping to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those who have no one to look after them, and we are honored to partner with them in 2021!

CHILDREN'S CUP

ESWATINI, AFRICA

Children’s Cup was founded in 1992 by Dave and Jean Ohlerking. God gave them a dream to reach out to hurting and forgotten children in the hard places of the world and offer them hope in Jesus. The goal is to help children grow to be holistically healthy and to give them hope in Jesus that will enable them to become world changers!

Children’s Cup cares for the physical, spiritual, educational, and economic needs of a community through “care points”, where they establish a church, well, school, and other valuable resources to share the hope found in Jesus. Westbridge Church is excited about our partnership with Children’s Cup!
